PSSSB Group D Recruitment 2026 (2007 Vacancies)

Overview

The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has updated its Group D Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. 04 of 2026, following the 03 September 2026 corrigendum, which added more posts from the Excise & Taxation Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner, Moga. With this revision, the total number of vacancies has increased from 1,401 to 2,007, covering Sewadar, Chowkidar, Safai Sewak, and several other Group D posts across multiple Punjab Government departments.

The online application process, which originally began on 27 February 2026, has now been extended, and candidates can submit their applications and pay the application fee until 14 September 2026 through the official PSSSB website. Eligible candidates who have passed Matriculation (10th) with Punjabi as one of the subjects (subject to specified exemptions) and meet the prescribed age criteria can apply online only.

Selected candidates will be appointed to various Punjab Government departments and offices across the state under the applicable Group D pay scale, along with admissible allowances as per Punjab Government rules. The selection process includes a written examination, followed by document verification, with the examination schedule to be announced separately by PSSSB.

Candidates should carefully check the department-wise vacancies, educational qualification, age limit, application fee, salary, important date before submitting their online application.

Age Limit

Minimum age (all categories): 18 years
Maximum age (General category): 37 years
Maximum age for Punjab-resident SC and BC candidates: 42 years
