SSC Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2026 (2536 Post)

Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) 2026 to recruit 2,536 Group C vacancies across various Central Government Ministries, Departments, Constitutional Bodies, Tribunals, and Offices. The recruitment includes Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts, making it one of the largest 12th-pass government recruitment drives of the year.

The online application process will remain open from 07 September 2026 to 07 October 2026, and candidates can submit their applications only through the official SSC website. Before applying, candidates are advised to read the complete official notification carefully, as it contains detailed information regarding the selection procedure, eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, examination syllabus, exam pattern, and important instructions.

Candidates who have passed Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board are eligible for most posts, while certain Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts require Science stream with Mathematics at the 10+2 level. The recruitment process consists of Tier-I Computer-Based Examination followed by Tier-II Computer-Based Examination, which includes Typing Test for LDC/JSA posts and Skill Test for DEO posts, with the examination schedule to be announced separately by SSC.

Selected candidates will receive the applicable Central Government Group C pay scale, along with Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other admissible benefits as per Government rules. Candidates should carefully check the post-wise vacancies, educational qualification, age limit, application fee, important dates before submitting their application.
