Border Security Force (BSF) Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026

Overview

Border Security Force (BSF) has announced 34 vacancies for Sub-Inspector (Medic), Sub-Inspector (Lab Technician) and Sub-Inspector (Physiotherapist) posts on a deputation basis under Advertisement No. 11/63/2026/Med Dte/BSF/7298-7658.

Eligible candidates must send their offline applications by post to the Inspector General/Director (Medical), Directorate General, BSF on or before 9 December 2026.

The posts carry Pay Matrix Level 6, and qualifications vary according to the post as specified in the official notification.

The selection process consists of a medical fitness examination and verification of CR dossiers and APARs for the last five years.

Possessing Basic Nursing Assistant or Medic Course; Advance Nursing Assistant or Advance Medic Course; and experience of minimum six years as Nursing Assistant in hundred bedded Hospital or institute recognised by the Central Government or a State Government or Central Armed Police Forces Hospitals. Must be medically fit.
Sub-Inspector (Lab Technician)	12	Officers of the Central Armed Police Forces or the Central Government or the State Government or the Union Territory Administration holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with six years regular service in level-5 (Rs. 29200-92300) in the pay-matrix in the parent cadre or department. 12th Class passed from a recognised Board and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or Technology of two years duration from an institute recognised by the Central Government or a State Government. Experience of minimum six years as Laboratory Technician from a Laboratory Diagnostic Centre or minimum hundred bedded hospital or an institution recognised by the Central Government or a State Government. Must be medically fit.
Sub-Inspector (Physiotherapist)	08	Officers of the Central Armed Police Forces or the Central Government or the State Government or the Union Territory Administration holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with six years regular service in level-5 (Rs. 29200-92300) in the pay-matrix in the parent cadre or department. 12th Class passed from a recognised Board and Diploma in Physiotherapy of two years duration from an institute recognised by the Central Government or a State Government. Experience of minimum six years as Physiotherapist from a Physiotherapy Centre or minimum hundred bedded Hospital or Institute recognised by the Central Government or the State Government. Must be medically fit.
