Nagaland Police Constable GD Recruitment 2026 (1137 Posts)
Overview
The Nagaland Police Department has announced 1,137 vacancies for Constable (General Duty) posts in 2026. Eligible male and female candidates belonging to Indigenous Inhabitant Tribes of Nagaland can apply.
 
The recruitment includes 1,053 posts allocated according to the approved tribal ratio and 84 backlog vacancies from the previous recruitment.
 
Candidates belonging to notified Backward Tribes must have passed Class 6, while applicants from other eligible Naga tribes must have passed Class 8 or hold a higher recognized qualification. The prescribed age limit is 18 to 37 years. The posts carry Pay Level 3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800 under the stated pay structure.
 
Online applications will be accepted through the official Nagaland Police recruitment portal from 31/10/2026 to 30/11/2026.
 
The selection process includes physical and medical screening, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a written examination, an interview and marks for NCC certificates. Candidates must carefully verify their district and tribe eligibility before applying, as applications are restricted to one eligible district.
