OPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 (758 Assistant Executive Engineer posts)

Overview

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has advertised 758 posts of Assistant Executive Engineer in Group A of the Odisha Engineering Service. The vacancies include 750 AEE Civil posts for the Water Resources, Works, and Housing and Urban Development departments, and 8 AEE Mechanical posts under Water Resources.

The posts carry Level-12 of the pay matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017. There is no OPSC examination and no application fee. Selection is based on a valid GATE score with 90% weightage and an interview with 10% weightage. GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 scores in Civil or Mechanical Engineering are applicable.

Candidates need an engineering degree or AMIE in the relevant branch, must be 21 to 42 years old as on 1 January 2026 with applicable relaxations, and must be able to read, write and speak Odia with the prescribed certificate.

Online applications are accepted at opsc.gov.in from 22 October 2026 to 11 November 2026, 5:00 PM. Of the 750 Civil posts, 612 are backlog vacancies of earlier years, which is why the number is unusually large. Document verification is expected to begin in the first week of December 2026.

Application Fee

The advertisement states that no examination fee is charged because the recruitment is conducted on GATE scores.

Age Limit

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not be above the age of 42 years on 1st January 2026 (born between 2nd January 1984 and 1st January 2005).
