CPRI Recruitment 2026 (Assistant, MTS and More 110 Posts)
Overview
The Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. CPRI/06/2026 dated 19 September 2026 for the direct recruitment of 110 vacancies across 10 Group B and Group C posts. The recruitment includes Engineering Officer Grade 1, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician Grade 1, Technical Attendant Grade 1, Assistant Grade II, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) Grade 1, making it one of the major central government recruitment drives in the power sector.
 
The recruitment offers excellent opportunities for candidates with qualifications ranging from 10th Pass, ITI, Diploma, Graduate, Science, and Engineering backgrounds, depending on the post.
 
The online application process will begin on 19 September 2026 (10:00 AM) and remain open until 12 October 2026 (5:00 PM) through the official CPRI recruitment portal. Applications will be accepted only in online mode, and candidates should complete their registration before the deadline.
 
Eligible Indian Nationals must fulfill the post-wise educational qualification, age limit, experience requirements (where applicable), and reservation rules specified in the official notification. The eligibility varies according to the post, ranging from 10th Pass and ITI for technical support posts to Diploma, B.E./B.Tech, M.Sc., and other relevant qualifications for technical and scientific positions.
 
The selection process will be conducted according to CPRI recruitment guidelines and may include a Computer-Based Test (CBT), skill or trade test (where applicable), document verification, and other post-specific stages prescribed in the notification. Selected candidates will be appointed to various CPRI units across India and will receive salary and allowances as per the applicable Government pay scales.

Age Limit
  • The upper age limit ranges from 25 years (MTS Gr.1) to 35 years (Scientific Assistant, Engineering Assistant).
